Cable Entry Installation Case References
Representative configurations showing how cable glands, junction boxes, sealing parts and accessories are matched to real site conditions.
Case 05 – CNC machine tool control panel
Site condition
Power, servo and signal cables enter a machine-side control panel that runs under continuous vibration and occasional cutting-fluid splash.
Installed system
Nickel-plated brass cable glands with strain relief matched to each cable diameter, interface sealing washers and internal locknuts; shielded lines use EMC brass glands with 360-degree contact.
Result
Each cable is clamped against vibration at the entry point, and shielded control lines keep their grounding path at the panel wall.
To match this case
Send cable OD per line, vibration level, thread or hole size, whether shielded cables are used, and the target IP rating.
Case 06 – Harbor-side equipment enclosure
Site condition
Outdoor enclosure near seawater, exposed to salt mist, high humidity and wide day-night temperature swings.
Installed system
Stainless steel 316 cable glands matched to cable OD, stainless locknuts, EPDM sealing washers and closured spare entries with corrosion-resistant plugs.
Result
Entry points resist salt-mist corrosion, and temperature-driven condensation is kept outside the enclosure wall.
To match this case
Send cable OD, mounting thread, salt-mist exposure level, spare-port count and the required material grade such as SS304 or SS316.
Case 07 – Rooftop telecom distribution box
Site condition
A wall-mounted distribution box on a rooftop with many small signal and power entries, direct sun exposure and rain.
Installed system
UV-resistant PA66 cable glands sized by cable group, gland-plate sealing gasket, vent plug for condensation control and closure plugs on reserved positions.
Result
Grouped entries stay sealed under UV and rain, internal condensation is relieved through the vent, and spare holes remain closed until expansion.
To match this case
Send a cable schedule with OD per entry, total and spare port counts, panel material and whether a vent plug is required.
Case 08 – Washdown conveyor control box
Site condition
Control box on a food-processing conveyor line, cleaned daily with high-pressure water and detergent foam.
Installed system
Stainless steel cable glands rated IP66 or above with matched cable clamping, smooth-surface sealing washers and bottom-entry routing that avoids water pooling on the gland face.
Result
Washdown water is directed away from the entry interfaces, and the sealing surfaces remain cleanable during daily sanitation.
To match this case
Send cable OD, washdown pressure and frequency, detergent type, mounting position and the required IP rating.
Case 09 – Quarry motor control centre
Site condition
Motor control centre in a quarry with heavy dust, vibration from crushers and unsealed concrete-wall mounting holes.
Installed system
Brass cable glands with strain relief for power cables, adapters where wall holes were oversized, and gasket sealing between gland and panel to block dust ingress.
Result
Dust no longer tracks through oversized holes, and vibration load is carried by the gland clamping rather than the terminal connections.
To match this case
Send cable OD by circuit, existing hole sizes, panel or wall thickness, vibration level and dust severity.
Case 10 – OEM control panel for mixed markets
Site condition
One panel design exported to Europe and North America, where customers use Metric and NPT conduit entries on the same enclosure drawing.
Installed system
Two matching gland sets per drawing – Metric nylon glands for the European build and NPT glands for the US build – plus identical sealing washers, locknuts and closure plugs for spare positions.
Result
One enclosure design serves both markets without rework, and each shipment arrives as a complete, size-matched kit per unit.
To match this case
Send the enclosure drawing, thread standards per market, cable OD list, quantity per build and kit-packing requirements.
